Architecture 519 have recently submitted proposals for an innovative sustainable house in North Leeds for planning approval. The 4000 sq ft house will replace an existing 1960 house which is suffering from a combination of poor construction quality and maintenance issues. The proposals include a highly insulated building envelope, photovoltaic panels, rainwater harvesting and a full house ventilation and heat recovery system. With views over Eccup Reservoir the location of this property is fantastic and the design proposals include large expanses of folding glass doors and terraces to take advantage of these views. Leeds City Council have been supportive to date and we hope to gain an approval towards the end of May.
