The former Elizabeth Shaw Chocolate Factory site in Bristol is being regenerated to create a vibrant new residential and commercial community. Where appropriate, the existing factory buildings have been retained for re-use. These are supplemented with bespoke houses and apartments arranged around a series of new public spaces.

The site has been opened up to links with the city’s cycle network and café/retail facilities are located within key focal point buildings to provide a focal point for the wider community. The design has been developed through a series of local workshops and celebrates the strength of the local materials and building forms.
