A prominent corner site in Acton, West London has been transformed with the addition of a contemporary mixed-use residential / retail development providing 85, one, two and three bedroom apartments and 1500 sqm of retail/commercial space.
A series of linked buildings ranging from three to five storeys in height are arranged around a central landscaped podium deck, which sits above a private car park.
Architecture519 assisted Crest Nicholson to secure detailed planning permission for the development following a planning appeal. The new building replaced a redundant Grade II Listed former tram depot on the site and key elements of the previous building fabric were retained within the design.
The building incorporates brick, render and metal cladding panels to create a design which compliments the area and redefines the street scene.
